Breast cancer patients will now get relief from painful and time consuming daily radiation treatments. A new technique that delivers treatment in one dose has been developed.

Titanium beads permanent radiation implant procedure
a. The procedure cuts down treatment time and pain.
b. Small titanium beads are injected into the breast.
c. The beads deliver radiation for two weeks and then remain in the breast.
d. The procedure is short and there is no skin irritation.
e. Clinical trials are being conducted in Canada and further testing is needed.
f. Normal life is not disrupted.
