In a bid to raise awareness for Stage IV breast cancer patients and their families, the Design-her Gals website, designhergals.com, has announced its 2nd annual interactive virtual walk. The beneficiary is the non-profit organization Gal to Gal Foundation who is dedicated to this cause. The aim of this walk is to raise $250,000 in 31 days.

Highlights of the virtual walk
a. The website hopes to create support during October's Breast Cancer Awareness month.
b. Sponsors are Franklin Covey, Epson, Glory for Girls as well as strategic partners like Fodors.
c. Celebrity ambassadors like Kristin Chenoweth, Marg Helgenberger, Dayna Devon, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Molly Sims, Jean Chatzky, Julie Morgenstern, Redbook editor in chief, Stacy Morrison and Broadway star Deidre Goodwin among others have extended their support.
d. Supporters will create their virtual likeness online and then watching themselves take a virtual walk across America.
e. The walk will start in the Virtual World of Harvard Square in Boston, MA, and concludes on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
f. It will 29 cities along the way.
g. The landscape will change on a daily basis.
h. New walkers can join in at any time.
i. A virtual bag with items donated by the Foundation's strategic partners will be given to supporters.
j. Walkers can also purchase merchandise featuring their character on the site.
