As per the statistics revealed by the lingerie firm La Senza the average bra size in the UK is 36C, whereas 10 years back the average size was 34B chest. The latest figures show there has been a 30% rise in demand for bras with cup sizes of DD and above since 2003. Experts say the boom in bust size owes to the dramatic rise in the number of women opting for cosmetic surgery implants. The report of La Senza, revealed that sales of bras with DD, E and F cup sizes across their 118 stores nationwide have risen by a third each year since 2003. The bras with cup sizes A to D have gone up by just 8%. Figures published this year revealed that the number of women having surgery to boost the size of their breasts has increased by more than 50 % in just 12 months.
