Silicone breast implants were banned by the FDA in 1992 owing to health risks associated from using them. But now FDA is about to announce a final decision whether or not to lift the ban on Silicone breast implants. The report published in the journal has reported high concentrations of platinum in the hair, nails, urine and breast milk, in silicone recipients. But questions are being raised about how platinum’s reactivity was analyzed.
