I am a male of 57 years and considering cosmetic surgery to my upper eye area (minimal skin excision to remove slight 'hooding') and then lowers as well to eliminate the 'baggy' look.
When speaking to a surgeon, there were two options offered for the lowers. 1. to make incision at exterior lower lash line, remove fat pads, excise excess skin (minor) and suture at lash line .....or 2. to make incision inside the lower lid, remove fat pads and then C02 laser around the lower eye area to 'shrink any excess skin for a more tighter appearance. My concern is that there could be a possibility that in option one, the lower lid could sag slightly, giving it a droopy look. I have seen this happen before. And, not sure about the efficacy of CO2 laser for shrinking any loose skin. Any thoughts from experienced PS's on this type of blepheraplasty ? Thanks for your consideration |
