Hello ,
My name is Brenda and I also have PMMA injections in my buttocks but I am getting so scared because I am hearing so many stories now. I was told that I will have consequences in the long run. What do you think? I wanted to see if you can email me your pictures to compare and contrast. Thank you, Brenda |

I had PMMA injected in my buttocks. The second round was in December 2008. At first it was very nice, but now many granulomas are forming in my buttocks, some of them being quite apparent under my skin. I am trying to treat that with ultrasounds, at the suggestion of the person who injected it, but I wonder how ultrasounds can dissolve granulomas. I will probably have to have this removed. What will it look like after, I don't know. I can only hope. So, if I were you, I would think twice before doing it. I have started looking on the Internet again and there are negative reviews I did not find when I originally investigated PMMA (or what has been injected in me). We also do not know if good reviews are not from people who have interests in PMMA, that is Internet, isn't it. All I can see are the results in myself. I think that people who just had PMMA injected are not reliable source of experience - wait a year or two, and then you can say if something negative develops or not.

Regarding my post above, I may add that I will undergo a removal procedure in a couple of months. If anyone is interested, I will let you know of the outcome. I have no interest in any clinic - what I want is results. My case is as follows: My buttocks was very small. I had a first round of PMMA in it and then a second round about 3 months after. I was absolutely delighted. About one year after I wind up with many granulomas in the buttocks, some that I can feel deeper in the muscles, and others that are closer to the surface of my skin. They are very hard. Some are visible when I bend, when the skin is tightened. The doctor told me these are scar tissues that develop. She recommended using an ultrasound machine. I started about 10 days ago, at 1 mgz, 15 minutes per buttock. It would seems that it takes a couple of months to get results. Around April, I will go back to have this examined and corrected. I will keep you posted. Meanwhile, if anyone has similar experience, please let me know. Regards!

Hi Moniques, I'm very curious about pmma. How many times did you get the injections.I have read that some people have gone back two or three times to get the results that they desired. I would love to get pmma but I am afraid of the long term side effects. How much did the procedure cost.

HI Kris,
I got pmma injected by a general surgeon in Mexico in Ocrober last year, I only went once and I am satisfied, no absorption yet and no granuloma or any complications. I am also a bit scared of long term effects since nobody knows for sure. I paid around 3,000 dollars for 600 ml total in both cheeks. Pm if you want more information. |
