Dr. Alexander at florida center ??

I am scheduled for breast aug and one area of smart lipo with dr. alexander at florida center. Anyone know about him or used him for any cosmetic surgeries????? Thanks

I am familiar with Dr. Alexander in the Miami community. I took a moment to look up his profile on the Florida Department of Health website. I would recommend that you do the same. You will find:

1. Dr. Alexander is not board certified in ANY specialty

2. He has two disciplinary actions on his license

3. He is NOT a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons

4. He is NOT a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons

5. He appears to have completed only one year of a two year training program in Plastic Surgery

6. He does NOT have malpractice insurance (which is not required by the State of Florida)

You may also want to do some research into the history and reputation of the South Florida Center (previously the Flordia Center).

I would recommend that you consider having a few more consultations with board certified plastic surgeons.

Thank you. I am soooo glad I got this response. I already put down a deposit with the center Im gonna call monday and try and get it back. Any recomendations on some good P.A for a good price on Breast Aug?

I'm glad you found my post helpful. I'm not sure what P.A. stands for, but I would recommend that you look for board certified plastic surgeons in your area. You can go to the website for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Here is a link: http://www.plasticsurgery.org

There you can do a search for doctors in your area. All the members of the ASPS are board certified as this is required for membership. You can also go to the website for the American Society for Asthetic Plastic Surgery for the same kid of search. The link is: http://www.surgery.org ASAPS members are also all board certified and specialize in cosmetic surgery. I am a member of both societies and would recommend that you use these websites to help guide your search.
