I am about to have breast augmentation at Strax Rejuvenation

I want to know if anyone out there can tell me about your experience with Strax in Fort Lauderdale... I am about to have my breast done and I am scared and

. I need to know if they are as good as they say... Please let me know of your experiences or other possible doctors or facilities that do a great job!!! Please! thanks.

Paula, go to the "liposuction" forum and click on the "Sticky" for checking doctors credentials. There is a link for each state. Just put in the doctor's first and last name and you will find out if he has anything unfavorable on his record. I have a friend who lives in Naples and she has gone to Dr. Andrew Turk. I know he has an excellent record. Good luck to you and continue to do your research until YOU are very confident in your decision.

Two of my favorites in that area are Jason Pozner and Ary Krau. Both do beautiful breast work. I don't know anything about Strax except that they do alot of advertising, which isn't a bad sign at all. Make sure you see great before and afters and talk to a couple of their patients. Are they board-certified?

I just had a wonderful experience with the work that I had done with Dr. Daniel Man in Boca Raton. His facility is top notch and his after care is unbeatable. He has every possible new technique and machines including a vertical surgical bed to make your experience one not to fear. I considered Strax but after much research decided on Dr. Man. I am not sorry. His after care program is unbeatable as is he and his staff.

Hi,

My sister tried to have breast augmentation about six hours ago at STRAX in Ft. Lauderdale. She was given the medicine to 'relax' her and told the doctor that she did not feel the medicine. He reassured her that it was plenty and they took her into surgery. He made the first incision which she said she felt, but that it was not painful. Then he started to make the pocket for the implant to go in. She started SCREAMING with pain and said it was so painful that no one could ever imagine it. She had had gallbladder surgery a month ago and never compained about the pain, so i know it must have been unbelievable. The doctor was furious and yelled at her that "He jsut did a 24 year old that morning and she felt fine....and I can't deal with this." My sister is 30 years old so i don't know what he even meant about that. But I just found it really scarry that she had told him that the meds she was given weren't strong and that he yelled at her for being in that much pain. She was so upset and was sedated so that we could bring her home. It was so traumatic.

I had implants about 5 years ago under general anthesia. I could not imagine being awake for that as I felt like there was an elephant on my chest when i woke up. But i was given medicine for the pain and was cared for very well.

Here's an FYI about doctors at Strax:

Dr. John Nees and Dr. Anire Okpaku have no reported liability actions on their file.

Dr. Jeffrey Hamm has numerous ones, some resulting in loss of movement on one side of body, and brain damage
