Hey Jen:
See if the place you are going to have your treatments has gotten the lastest version called Velashape. It is supposed to be less treatments and more advanced technology, for reduction and appearance of cellulite. You can red abot it on the syneron.com website.I would recommend that anyone considering any type of treatments not give any type of payment, until the treatments are performed. If you prepaid and change your mind within 72 hours, by law they are supposed to refund your money in full. I would read their cancellation policy etc. The owner at the medspa where I work is a very ethical business person, if anyone changes their mind and decides not to continue treatments, she refunds their money no questions asked. If you have treatments, then the cost is deducted from the the total amount. Good luck! Poisynivy |

westside, are you having it post smart lipo? I've been getting Triactive treatments (similar to velashape, made by cynosure, the s/l people) and it has helped a lot with the lumps on my stomach since I had s/l. I have noticed NO difference in cellulite reduction on my body, I have had 4 treatments so far, one more to go.
good luck to you! chameleon |

the first one was done by the company rep as she was training the technicians.
it is true that i've lost some circumference, but i've also dieted during this period and lost 4 1/2 pounds (i'm 5'2" so this is a substanial weight-loss for me). so, some circumferential reduction would have been expected anyway. i have not seen any reduction in cellulite. now, the technician is telling me that i don't really have cellulite, that what i have is hanging skin which would not be affected by the velashape. this was not the original story that i was given before doling out the money for this treatment. i have two more treatments scheduled. i'm not very hopeful. |

clearly there was some circumferential reduction on the fat globs on my inner knees: the ones that made me look knock-kneed.
it was a modest but noticeable reduction that i doubt would have resulted from the 5 lb weight loss alone. there was also some circumferential reduction on the fat globs on my inner and outer thighs and my belly. truthfully though, all of this reduction probably was the result of the weight loss and going to the gym 90 minutes/day five days a week. i've not seen ANY noticable cellulite reduction. i'm going to start having some refirme treatments on my inner thighs to see if they will do anything. |
