Hi
Does anyone know much about the threadlift plus, its being offered to me here in Australia and although I know threadlifts aren't done much any more, this is SUPPOSED to be different, as the excess skin is actually excised. Any opinion very much appreciated. |

It is a mini mini facelift incision with the threads added. Nothing new. A mini face lift with Smas plication would be better. Regards Dr. Darryl J. Blinski, MIAMI, "Masters of the Mini Face Lifts" group.

A mini-facelift can rejuvenate the face quite well in the right patient. As part of this procedure stitches are usually placed on the inside to lift the inner tissue of the cheeks. The lift you are talking about uses a special kind of thread to do this part of the operation. Its not anything so different other than the use of that material in place of the traditional stitching material (which works quite well). Be careful of gimmicks. Make sure you are choosing the best operation for your needs based upon your anatomy, your tissue, and your goals. A mini-facelift can give great results for the right patient. Make sure you're one of those "right patients".
If you go to see board certified plastic surgeons for consultations you will get reliable recommendations. Remember to ask if they are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I hope this info helps!
