My Mood:
Question Hard lumps

Hello all,
I have had my SL on lower abs/flanks and jowls exactly 3 weeks ago. Not much difference in my lower abs from pre-op to post-op although i cant say the same thing for my flanks. I see some improvement over my flanks. I am right now at the stage that I can see hard lumps at my flanks area and also smaller flat lumps in my lower abs. I know from reading all the posts here that the lumps will eventually go away and I am not at all worried about that. I am only worried about the final reduction in my lower abs. My question to the seniors here is all these hard lumps when they go away ....will those hard lumps totally dissappear taking away all the matter that it is made up of out of your body? or will the hard lump just be converted to a soft fat deposit later?
If i am not clear, I am sorry ...just let me know I can try to be more clear in my question.

Thanks in advance.

Default Answer to the "lumps"

Hi. I am just over 9 weeks out from having my "muffin top/sides of waist" done, along with a revision in my abdomen. I can tell you that I had the lumpy ropey areas and they are just going away...plus I'm itching there like crazy (healing?). Anyway, I was very tender there as well until just recently. I think it just takes time. While I can't visually see a huge difference (think it's hard to notice when you see a slight reduction everyday), I put on a pair of shorts the other day that had fit snugly at the waist (and creating a muffin top) and they were loose at the waist! Yippey! Think we are too hard on ourselves and our procedures...just takes time, and of course, longer for some than others. Hang in there! The lumps will go away. AND EXCERCISE! It helps.
