I had my first session done in January second session May. I wore my garment 24/7 for 2 months!!!! I still sometimes put it on even though I hate it. My doctor is very strict about the garment. She says she can tell if you have not been wearing it as required as you can get soromas (fluid that builds up in the cells) and then you get that lumpy wavy skin. The only way to correct them is to have them sucked out. I know that a lot of US docs don''t think the garment has anything to do with the procedure. But all I know is that my doc believes in wearing it and her patients, if they follow her guidelines, all come out looking fab. But this is just my opinion from my experience. rcraig

Interesting. 2 months seem seems like such a long time though. How much longer are you going to wear it? Maybe I hould put mine back on. I was told that the bumps are fliud in the lymphatic tissue and to massage it out. Is that not true at all? I really appreciate all yuor help.

Yes there will be some lumps as you heal. That is why you want to wear the compression garment so it helps to get rid of them. Yes massage does help that along but the healing as I said previously, takes a long time. You don't want that fluid to get trapped between the layers of your muscle, fat, skin. I told you that I wore my compression garment for 2 months, 24/7. After that I occassionaly put it on. It just makes me feel better and it still seems to be helping. I am 6 months post of from second session. Still having changes to my body. So again, patience is the word here! rcraig

Hope you are feeling and looking better. I just had the procedure 6 days ago and I am in quite a bit of pain. I am also swollen and needless to say brused. I thought the recuperation would be quicker. The garmet is very tight and I have a rash (burned area) on my torso do to it. Any advise??? Help!!! Thank you

You poor thing. I feel bad for you. You will be tender for some time to come, at least 2 weeks or more. Have you tried putting baby powder with cornstarch on the rash area? I had that same problem on my inner thoughs from the garment rubbing. It certainly was not a qucik fix surgery.

Just a quick note to report that I am feeling much better (day #9 after surgery) I have had 2 Lymphatic Drainage Massages and they really helped. I am also beginning to see the new shape. I will continue the massage therapy and I will wear the garment (not the original one, too restrictive and uncomfortable) for a few more weeks. Thanks for the kind words.

hey just had mine done at the sleek med spa in nyc. i'm really swollen and had to get to stitches in each arm. wanted to ask about compression garments. right now i just have stretchy bandages on ( not really sure whats the right lingo for them) anyways is that a compression garment. because i have one from the first time i had the surgery on my arm pit area this time i went to a diff. place and had my upper arms. they didnt say anything about a garment and told me to wear this stretchy bandages.. kind of worried should i start wearing my other garment? the banages feel alot tighter then my compression garment did the frst time i wore it.
