Hey Jules, if you are 4 weeks already you only should be wearing your garment for 12 hours a day! Therefore you can go swiming without it!!!1 So go on, put on that bikini and jump right in

Thanks, rcraig---but I'm far from the good results I should have. I'm still VERY swollen, as I've learned that we don't ALL get fast, instant results. Very discouraging. & I've learned that there's a huge discreptancy in recommended times for wearing the garments, from the drs---some drs recommend up to 4 MONTHS!! plus, some drs say that no stage-2 garment is necessary...WHATEVER!! If I'm out of my garment for 30 minutes, I swell even more. All I know is that---I wish I would have waited til fall & gone to Versalles. I waited too long making my appt there for May, & couldn't get in til late June, so in order to get the procedure done sooner, I had it done in Tulsa. the people were FANTASTIC there, but I'm freaking-out, that maybe they weren't as aggressive with the laser as I'd like. They keep telling me to chill, give it time, & I'll be happy... Up to 4 months for total results... It's really hard to not stress!! However, I had my chin/neck smartlipo'd too, & those results ARE amazing, plus it gets tighter all the time, even tho I do still have a little swelling there, it's like I lost ten years!
so I think I'll try a Veronique, & use a Marena for a swimsuit!!!!!!!!! |

Hi, Jules. I hear ya about all the discrepancy on how long, what type, etc. etc. on these garments! You are smart to keep wearing one until you have your swelling under control. I really do love my Veronique. The legs are the most comfortable of all that I have tried. I have the one that just comes right above the knee cap. It obvioulsly won't work for shorter shorts, but it works for the bermuda length and capris. I swam in mine with no problems, too. BTW, did you have suction with the SmartLipo? I was wondering because your doctor said to wait up to 4 months for results, and I had results immediately due to the suction. Anyway, good luck to you and hang in there. And any time you need to VENT, you know where to come!

THANKS, Catwoman!! I sooo wish I had waited & gone to Versalles!! I had a small amount of suction-I don't know how much. Obviously, not enuff!! If only I had known 'bout the suction, BEFORE surgery!! Now I've heard that without the suction, that the smartlipo is only 30% as effective? Has anyone heard of that? OMG, please say it ain't so!!

You know, I do not know about the "30% effective" claim. All I have heard that it takes so much longer to see results without suction. And of course, it could also depend on how much fat each doctor actually treats, as well. Dont' beat yourself up and second guess yourself. I have had many procedures (see my "What Price Beauty" thread in the Liposuction forum) and none of them (except my breasts!) score a perfect "10". I either had a slight complication or, on the case of my two previous lipos, unsatisfactory results do to surgeon's skill and limitations of the traditional forms of lipo. But I tell myself, I did not like the way I looked before I had the procedure, so even some improvement is better than the "before". I hope that is the case for you and you continue to heal and see more results.

Hats Off To Catwoman and everyone else! I am wearing the Rainy garment size small and would not even have heard about it if it were not for this site! I would still be zipping and clipping that thing they gave me after the proceedure!
Thank you everyone for the vast amount of knowledge and helpful hints that have made this so much easier for me! Kathy |

I had the VERONIQUE and it was pretty comfortable, and mine was black so it was chigue, a little itchy at times but I solved that problem with moisturizer
morning, noon and night. As a side note my wife thought it was kind'a sexy with cowboy boots and a dinner jacket IskiGr8 |

Aloha from Rainbow Land! I just got off the phone with MakeMeHeal.com’s Anita. I was concerned about the compression garments as we are in the hot season and life can be too uncomfortable without the right fit.
I am Sagittarian and have a top half female bottom half work horse. I was worried a standard garment wouldn’t fit my Hawaiian style body. So Anita recommended I get a VERONIQUE custom made garment. How cool is that???? I am waiting for her reply as to how much more time and $ it will take to achieve such coolness. She asked me for many measurements so as to achieve a good fit. For a garment that covers the waist to above the ankle bone she asked for these measurements 1) waist 2) biggest part of hips 3) thighs 4) ankles 5) side waist to hip 6) waist to knee 7) crotch to crook in the knee 8) knee to above ankle 9) crotch to above ankle 10) waist to above ankle. I am excited and thank all of you for your support and sharing a desire to improve ourselves where exercise doesn't make it. My butt and thighs have dents and my calves are big, my butt is sliding down my legs no matter how much I work it out. I am not telling anyone yet about this yet…. Obviously I don’t want any opposition, so you guys are the first to know. I’ll keep you posted as I can. I tried unsuccessfully to upload the before pictures so you all can see the before and after results. If anyone has any suggestions about uploading… I am all ears. |

HI, Creampuff. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your lipo procedure. I think you will be very happy with your Veronique custom fit garment. You might want to contact Jennifer, the Moderator here, and she will be able to help with the b/a pictures.
