Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, but I thought I'd share my experience so far with all of you. I had tumescent lipo on 4/25 and have been rejoicing ever since. I had 3950 cc's removed from my lower abs, hips, thighs and knees. You can read about it on my blog. If you have any questions regarding my procedure, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Nat
Your site is wonderful, excellent resource for anybody wanting to undergo lipo. One question i want to ask, you have had your tumescent liposuction on April 25, 2007. What are your thoughts on SmartLipo and why didn't you consider Smartlipo ( it was FDA approved last november ) Welcome to the board and hope you can be a regular here. |

Jennifer, Nat lives in St. Louis and went to a PS there. The office she went to does not offer SmartLipo. The St. Louis Cosmetic Surgery center likes to use real patients in their advertising. A few places in St. Louis are now advertising SmartLipo, but most are not plastic surgeons, and offer only the SMartLipo, no removal of fat. It always takes St. Louis longer to catch up to the other markets, alas.

Hi Jen,
I'm very conservative in my approach with new technologies and have known about Smart Lipo for some time. It's too new for me to consider that procedure. I come from a family of physicians and even with the recent FDA approval, I'm I would have gone the route of Smart Lipo. Also, I would want a PS that has done several thousand procedures, which mine has. Who knows, maybe a few years down the road if I need something else...
