A quick tip - if you see an indication that your doctor may have lived in another state and practiced medicine there - make sure you check the records for the current and all previous states. I have found three so far that have moved from one state to another when they had actions taken against them.

Yes, I have found one too that had a license in multiple states and moved around to keep practicing even though they were sanctioned in another state. Scary. The problem is that unless you pay to use a service that cross-refences them (I used Healthgrades--and to me it was worth it), it is hard to know for how many states a MD has a license to practice.

UGH...there seems to be a listing for every state but TEXAS. Anyone know where to look for disiplanary information in Texas?
