Hi everyone! I am compelled to share my AMAZING experience with Dr. Lopez in Mazatlan . . . to give you a bit of my own background - I own and operate a fitness center at present but am the author of a Canadian best selling holistic health book and have lectured coast to coast about environmental health. I am also an acupuncturist, laser therapist, nutritionist and work a lot with emotional issues using various progressive energy techniques. As you can well imagine I research everything to do with health to the enth degree!
It took me about 14 months to finally decide which doctor I would work with regarding my body shape which just would NOT respond to diet and exercise - I have a great diet as well as engaging in heavy cardio routines such as spin classes, etc. A dermatologist put my mind at ease when he told me my body shape was due to genetics, hormonal issues and poor connective tissue and that it had NOTHING to do with my lifestyle since it was so great! I am strong and my endurance is fabulous! BUT my body did not reflect this on the exterior. So finally I found my doctor! Why did I choose Dr. Lopez in Mazatlan? Because she is HOLISTIC, she understand SYMMETRY and BALANCE and knows the human body better than most doctors I have met over the years - and there have been many. To simply do one or two areas would then create an imbalance! Also where does the fat go if some should return? This is why Dr. Lopez makes sure that enough areas are done so that there is perfect balance. Dr. Lopez sculpts - she is an artist - she is incredible - and her aftercare is nothing short of amazing - I sent her an e-mail and within FIVE MINUTES she called me to provide answers to my questions. She is kind, compassionate, understanding and truly understands the plight of those of us who cannot correct bodily issues that we have inherited and not asked for! Dr. Lopez uses homeopathic remedies and vitamins to strengthen the body ahead of time and also after the procedure. She makes sure that we understand how very important it is to have a healthy diet and an exercise program. She will even take some fat and inject it into areas of the face that needs a little plumping! She wastes nothing! Robin, the coordinator for the versalles center is always available for assistance - for explaining everything patiently, to reassure when needed and to make arrangements for the procedure so it goes smoothly - At the Versalles Center - a chic office attached to a small upscale hospital in Mazatlan - they use light sedation so that Dr. Lopez can do a great job - it would be very difficult to do the intensive work by freezing many areas as the numbing needles can be uncomfortable - she likes to have her patients in total comfort as she re-shapes and re-configures- makes total sense to me! I am in my second week of recovery - already back at work - not jumping around yet but certainly putting in full days in the fitness center as well as my other holistic services. It is crucial that one goes for lymphatic drainage massages and/or ultrasound treatments to facilitate healing. Feel free to ask me any questions you wish about my procedure or Dr, Lopez - I will be posting pictures online for everyone to see - in the hopes that those of you who are contemplating this journey will be inspired and will make a similar choice - - - not only is she a skillful surgeon and amazing at the SMART LIPO technique but she goes way beyond the call of duty - amazing! |

The postings on this board helped me very much in the past as I was trying to obtain information from folks who had actually experienced not only Smart Lipo but Dr. Lopez in mexico- - I only hope that my experience will help others as much as they have helped me in the past - I had no idea how to use this board when it came time for me to post - instead of making comments like this which are not helpful at all why not try and help? |

Your same messages are on MMH under another name. I am a Dr. Lopez patient. If you'd read everything on this board you'd know there is a lot more to this center and the boards. You are too early to know your results. We were all excited at two weeks. There are still patients who are extremely happy but there are many who are not. If I could share my PM box with you....you'd be shocked. I am happy you're happy. |

You know, one can leave this board for months, and come back to the same scenarios playing out here. It can be incredibly difficult for a newbie to gain accurate information when inquiring about Versalles. The chief cheerleader did her best to undermine my creditability, both with VC and on these forums, yet continues to be permitted to rejoin the forum after brief periods of banishment because of bad behavior. I'll be the first to say that Dra. Lopez is very skilled with SmartLipo, and I have sent her literally dozens of patients. There have been some wonderful outcomes, and some not-so-wonderful. It is time that those who are not happy be encouraged to tell their stories as well. A balanced view helps everyone to be informed and make good decisions. Best..... |

Good People,
As a newbie one week out from surgery, I have to weigh in on the discussion; I couldn't sleep. I went back and read many of my fellow newbie's numerous posts, and I side with the 'seniors' - if it walks like, quacks like... it probably is. If Judit's experience was as she stated, it wasn't due to the doctor, it was a rare occurrence. It needs a disclaimer like the 'I lost 30 pounds in 15 days' ads in magazines - RESULTS NOT TYPICAL. What I read from hers and other 'quacking' posts gave the impression that they were 'sitting on a beach, enjoying a vacation in Mexico with a brand new body' three or four days after many areas of surgery (in full body armor and technicolor???) My reality was that I was able to enjoy morning coffee sitting on my patio; the only other thing I enjoyed that week was a daily nap! Was I able to carry on with my daily activities? Yes. Was I back to normal? No. My dogs no longer felt it necessary to stand vigil after the second day. Could I see change in my body contours? Yes. Glad I did it? Yes. Everyone's story will be different, some easier, some harder. It's important to us newbies to be frank and honest; we set our expectations on the collective impressions of what we've gleaned. From what I have read, my story is more in line with other's experiences than Judit's. She did nail the need for bed protection, 'though. Respectfully, Why??? |

Enjoyed your post!! Very cute and spot on! I think the biggest red flag for me about Judit's post was that NOT ONCE did she even mention what SHE had done but was quick to mention the "chic" clinic, etc, etc!! It was just a big advertisement. No one is touching her posts on MMH, they all hear quacking, as well.
Nice to meet you. |
