Drs you are happy with
I feel like I'm chasing my tail.. go to mexico, costa rica? Who to believe. The stress is aging me lol
Anyone want to share any info? Im looking to do a facelift and replace my implants this jan/feb 2010. Thank you joan* |

welcome to our forums, there are both pro's and con's of traveling to a distant location for plastic surgery, typically the exotic locales and low price are an incentive, however there is no validity of how qualified a doctor is or if they have any past lawsuits against them, its very difficult to verify on the internet. Depending on the type of procedure you wish to undergo, the more complicated the procedure the riskier it is is my personal opinion! But its just me  |

Thank you* and I agree. But I also know not all talented Drs only in the USA. I like the idea of going away and no one seeing me heal. Being the Mom of 2 active teens.. 2 weeks of reading? resting, peace and quiet sounds like a fantasy to me. I know there good and bad in all.. I'm just hoping to hear from others and hopefully that will help me decide.
I "think" Im going for a mid and lower face lift. I will also replace my saline implants. joan* |

Thank you* I am at the NJShore and trying to stay semi close. Originally, I wanted to go to Argentina as Ive seen their work and they do beautiful work. The 11 hr plane ride made me delcine.

ok... making plans now. Jan 2010, facelift and replace my implants with Dr Da Cruz in Costa Rica.
Now do I stay at Villa Le Mas or Las Cumbres?? HELP!! Any info? Thank you * joan* |

Actually you can check to see if a doctor is board-certified in Mexico by going to one of these sites:
Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Home click on certified specialists Mexican Association of Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery AMCPER click on directorio A doctor may not be re-certified if he has disciplinary actions against him. I had my work done in Mexico by Dr. Alfredo Meza Perez and am very happy with the results. PS Keep in mind that in Hispanic countries people usually are listed by their second name, so for example my doctor would be listed under "M" for Meza. I had a full facelift and replacement of implants 1/12/10. Dr Luis Da Cruz did my surgery. He is the head surgeon at Clinica Blibica. I also stayed at Villa Le Mas. I had the BEST experience ever. My Dr was wonderful and his work done well and modern. The hospital better than any hospital Ive been to in the USA and Villa Le Mas took such good care of me that I felt like my mom was on the trip with me.
I am VERY happy with my results and recovery. I am 6 wks post op and have no bruising and no swelling. I would recommend Dr Da Cruz and Villa LE Mas as the only choice. I can be reached at daintypet at comcast dot net for any further info. Be well joan* New Jersey |
