My Mood:
Default For us "do it yourselfers"....

I just wanted to share with you a great product I have been using that I absolutely believe in. It is a micro-needle skin roller. It is exactly what it sounds like! A very small roller that is completely packed with very tiny surgical steel micro needles. The idea is to roll this across small sections of your face, as directed, after you have applied a treatment product like a Vitamin C serum, or retin A product, etc. The needles actually puncture your skin so that the treatment lotion is dispersed below the surface of your skin. Over time, this practice actually stimulates collagen production similar to the Profractional lasers, but without the expense, risk and down time. Obviously, this is not an overnight result, but I have seen improvement in my pore size, skin texture and pigment spots fading away.
Now I recommend this to those of us that are diligent in reading and following directions and can commit to using this roller consistently to get results. It does sting a little, but very tolerable. You can purchase a numbing cream if you are very sensitive. After the procedure, you will feel a tingling sensation and some slight redness in the areas, but this goes away in a few hours. I use my roller at night and apply another cream and go to sleep. When I wake up, my skin looks and feels great.
I would recommend starting with a .5mm or 1.0mm roller. You can read about the differences in the rollers on the website where I purchased mine:
www.skinsolutions.com I found this site to have the most variety and best pricing. MakeMeHeal also carries the roller. I bought a kit that contained the roller, two creams, soothing masks and a small sample of the numbing cream. The treatment creams are really wonderful products and I will purchase them again. I also suggest you keep plenty of alcholol on hand (the medicinal kind!) to clean your roller after use.
Hope you find this information helpful and please feel free to ask me any questions about my experience with the roller.
P.S. I have no connection to either seller of this product
