I'm curious to hear what the community thinks about the recent events in Thailand (protests in the airport closing it down for a few days) and India (terrorist attacks) and how they will affect medical tourism in those destinations going forward.
I know a large portion of each of their medical tourism numbers are actually from people in surrounding countries, and I don't see those numbers falling all that much. What about from further away? My thought is people may look more towards Latin America. What about the rest of you? Just curious what everyone thinks.... |

Those terrorism attacks are really scaring off the tourists. My friend wanted to go to India for her plastic surgery but decided to get it in Costa Rica instead because of terrorism and Costa Rica is nearer. Though it is undeniable that India and Thailand are doing an excellent job in doing medical procedures especially in plastic surgery. That's one reason why they are still popular destinations for medical tourism.

Its true that medical surgery is about 50% less in india compare to foreign country. But due to terrorists attack people are afraid to come to india. Before terrorists attack even people from pakistan come for By-pass surgery in india.
Its depends upon choice if you have money but suppose if you do not have sufficient money then what people will do......... |
