For those of you considering PMMA injections, here are some guidelines for productive communication with your proposed provider.
First of all, you are inquiring about a medical procedure, and it must be treated by both parties with all seriousness. The clinic has every obligation to ask you about your health history and you may be required to provide documentation of that. I understand that on these forums, we have the option of providing a clever screen name and posting in complete anonymity. This is NOT appropriate when communicating with a healthcare provider. You need to be absolutely forthright and honest for your safety and theirs. When requesting information and an electronic consultation, you need to provide the following: • What treatment(s) or procedure(s) are you interested in? • Name • Gender • Phone number, with area code (including time zone and the best time to call you) • Age • Height • Weight • All cosmetic procedures you have previously had and in what areas Please don’t send a physician an email that reads something like, “I am interested in buttock augmentation. How much do you charge per CC?” That is a complete waste of the physician’s time as well as yours. Most physicians have an average charge based on body area and an average amount. Very few of us are average. How can they possibly know what you need without information and pics based on your individual body type? I have posted exhaustive information and research, and most physicians (or their staff) simply don’t have the time to answer questions in the same detail as I’ve provided for you. If for some reason you don't trust the information I've provided, then at least do some good research for yourself. I can tell you from participating on these forums that if you ask very general questions, you won’t get satisfactory answers to your questions. You must be as specific as possible with your questions and your “wish list” insofar as changes, augmentation, etc. Each of us is very unique and the injector must have all pertinent information in order to give you an accurate quote for your individual body. You must know from reading my story that because I’m older, skinny, and quite tall, someone like me requires a whole lot more filler than those of you who are in your 20’s and 30’s and just need a little more size and/or projection. Many variables have to be taken into account for best results. Take your pics close-up with good lighting and have the relevant body parts in focus. Here are the pics most providers will request, using face and buttocks as examples: Face - (no smile) * Straight on, from mid neck up * Straight on, neck tilted 15-20 degrees downward * Three-quarter side views * Profile views Buttocks - • Straight on, feet shoulder-width apart • Straight on, feet together • Three-quarter views • Profile views The more information you can provide to the physician, the more accurate and specific quote you will obtain. Wishing you the body of your dreams! |
