Teeth-in-an-Hour implant system, developed by Nobel Biocare, may not be all that great. New studies have shown that these implants may lead to serious complications and the patient may need additional treatment to rectify these problems. However, tests are still being undertaken and opinion is divided about the implant system.

a. It is a less time consuming procedure.
b. One benefit of this procedure is that there is hardly any bleeding, swelling or pain.
c. Using this system may lead to loss of fixtures.
d. Patients may have to go in for additional treatment due to adjustment problems.
e. At times, the titanium screws used can become loose.
f. Its success rate is only 60 per cent.
g. One possible side effect is jawbone loss.
