gastric-bypass-pregnancy.jpg A study report published in Dec 06, Pediatrics magazine has found that women who are super obese and have undergone gastric bypass surgery before pregnancy has helped their children from becoming obese.

Study Findings
a. For those women who have undergone gastric bypass surgery before pregnancy; their off springs being obese fell by 52%.
b. In the mothers who have undergone gastric bypass before pregnancy; there was no increase in resulting underweight babies. This is significant owing to the point that gastric bypass has potential risk of causing under nutrition.
