smart-lipo-laser-treatment.jpg The controversial SmartLipo, which uses laser beams to melt down fat in areas like hips, thighs etc, is on the rise. The 30-minute procedure, costs between £800 and £2,500 depending on the size of the area. Although the procedure is quick compared to the traditional liposuction, experts warned over people undergoing it. A similar fat-removal procedure was banned by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), last year. The MHRA has debarred clinics from using the fat-dissolving Lipostabil injections, till more research is carried out into its safety. The new development came on the eve of ‘Lunch Break’ breast enlargements. Those who needed large areas of fat removed are unlikely to get the results they need during a lunch break or 30-minute laser treatment.
