This is the reason why some people lose weight easily while others have to really struggle for it. This can help understand obesity and finally prevent it.

Study Findings
a. It is a proven fact that the presence of this gene in the body leads to increase in weight.
b. This gene is more common in people with type two diabetes.
c. People with this gene are 70 per cent more likely to be obese.
d. Such people are also liable to weight 3 kg more.
e. Almost half of white Europeans has one copy of this gene and one in six has two copies.
f. However, further research is needed to know more about the effects of this gene.
