Medical device and biotechnology company, Tulip BioMed, Inc, which has patented technologies for living tissue markets, and plastic - orthopedic surgeries, has declared that it has received initial feedback on its new Fat Transfer Kit, which consists of the FDA-approved disposable surgical instruments. Dr.Robert Alexander of Seattle, Washington, a Board certified, top class plastic surgeon, has performed the first commercial procedure using this new technology. Dr.Alexander who also the member of Tulip BioMed's Board of Scientific Advisors, is one of the first physicians to receive promotional micro-cannula kits. These were used in live surgery using fat transfer procedures after the instruments got FDA clearance in May. The disposable cannulas are easy to use. Plastic surgeons look for minimal resistance with a surgical cannula because less resistance allows the instrument to more easily slip through human tissue, causing fewer traumas to the cells and potentially supporting a reduced recovery time period.
