The AMA (American Medical Association) is looking into the contentious issue of touting bio-identical hormone product as an alternative treatment for aging and menopausal symptoms. Popular actress Suzanne Somers has endorsed these bio-identical hormone products as solution for zapping aging signs and keeping one physically active, in her book "Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones".

The doctors group in AMA have said that there is no proof that bio-identicals are any safer and they may even have other risks. The AMA is going to urge FDA to supervise and regulate bio-identical products and measure their safety and effectiveness.
