With the support of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Bangkok Hospital Phuket announced its plans to enter into the health and wellness sector. In a bid to promote medical tourism, the hospital shall market its services in UK, said Tanes Petsuwan TAT’s director in London. With over 714,489 British and Irish tourists visiting Thailand last year, the hospital is confident of providing quality medical procedures at Thailand. The cost savings, serene surroundings and Phuket's luxury hotels would make Thailand an ideal choice for medical tourism. The hospital said it would focus on plastic surgeries and dental treatments initially.
