The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has permitted drug companies to use pigments to design their pills and tablets. The pigments are the same ones which give cosmetics a pearly sheen. This will enable the pharmaceutical companies to give their drugs a unique look, hard to copy by others. However pigments should not weight more than 3% of the drug, FDA clarified.
