Till date everybody believed that ageing signs like sagging skin, folds, and wrinkles is due to loss of collagen. But the latest research findings by Kahn and Robert Shaw, MD a resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center indicated that Aging signs is, also due to wear and tear (or decay) of bone structures as one ages. With the skin sagging the bony framework underneath the skin deteriorates, thus to focus only on the skin to ward off ageing skin is not sufficient. For this, the underlying bone also should be treated. To make this possible, surgeons need to use implants to lift the skin. The stem cell therapy could offer a solution to the problem of building up bone. The research also indicated that ageing of facial bone in women is faster than man.
