phit-spa.jpg There will soon be a medi spa in the Manhattan area that is dedicated to strengthening and grooming a woman's genital area. Called Phit (pelvic health integrated techniques), this spa is the brain child of Dr. Lauri Romanzi, clinical associate professor of gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital. It is scheduled to be functional in Manhattan's East 58th Street by July 2008.

Highlights of the Phit Spa
a. The aim of this spa is to help women get in shape from the inside out.
b. It is basically a done up examination room down the hall from Dr. Romanzi's medical practice.
c. Patients will be given a gynecological examination where one is required to contract pelvic muscles around Dr. Romanzi's fingers.
d. This is done to enable Dr Romanzi to determine whether the muscle tone is weak, moderate or strong.
e. There is also an in-office electrostimulation machine to improve pelvic muscle tone.
f. One can also buy this machine for home use.
g. These treatments are designed to improve bladder control and maybe cause more intense orgasms.
