There is now a fattening procedure to make a person look young. The procedure multi-level fat grafting, though relatively new, plumps up the face by using fat from the stomach. This is being hyped as a better alternative to a full facelift. Till now, there are only a few surgeons who employ this technique.

Procedure Highlights
a. Pure fat cells are taken from the abdomen of the patient.
b. It is then injected into the layers of the face.
c. These cells age along with the cells.
d. Almost 90 per cent of the patients get permanent grafting in the first try itself.
e. However, others may have to go in for two or three repeat procedures.
f. There is another related procedure that repositions and smoothes out the fat under eyes.
g. Results last for about 5 years.

Disadvantage
a. There may be some swelling and bruising, which disappears in a week.
b. It is not recommended for people with kidney or liver disease and very low body fat.

Procedure performed by
Dr. Babak Azizzadeh.

Cost
$6,000
$12,000 if the second procedure is included.
