Seeking to eliminate this disadvantage, UT Southwestern Medical Center and UT Arlington have come together to develop a technique that could help surgeons eliminate the risk of scar formation. Research is still on to perfect this procedure.

Study findings
a. This procedure involved the insertion of laparoscopic tools through the belly button or throat.
b. The instruments are maneuvered with the help of magnets.
c. Magnets are placed outside the abdomen to pull laparoscopic instruments inside the body which also have magnets attached to it.
d. An internal camera helps surgeons to guide the instrument to the precise position.
e. This allows the surgeons to have more maneuvering ground.
f. The cameras can be repositioned according to need.
g. The procedure is still under developmental stage.
