Various treatment options to remove Keloids

Keloid is an overgrown scar, which may be the result of skin injuries like lacerations, burns or surgical incisions. It is also caused by tattoos, pimples, ear piercings and also small mechanical trauma. The problem is, keloid erased can re-grow or form again.

Treatment Options
a. Corticosteroid injections: These injections are given directly on the keloids. Requires 3-4 treatments to flatten the raised scar. It has success rate of 80-90%. .
b. Compression Therapy: In this therapy the scar is mechanically flattened by compressing the area.
c. Advanced Injectables—Bleomycin, Interferon or 5-fluorouracil drugs are very useful to eliminate keloids. This drugs work at cellular level, blocking the process of keloid tissue formation.

I have a bad case of keloids on my upper body, back, and chest. And I want to know is there a way to get rid of them for good, and what are the prices for the treatment?

I am a black man with keloids on the back of both my ears from piercing. The keloids are not huge but they are noticeable. I had them removed with surgery back in the fall of 2004 but they have returned and are now a bit bigger. I would like to know if there is any treatment that will finally keep these scars from reappearing. If need be I would be willing to participate in any research or testing to help make this happen. It is hard some days to even go out in public without someone looking at your ears instead of your face or in the eyes when they are speaking to you. So if I can help make a difference in the lives of others that have this same dilemma I will be more than willing to help out.

I am a young black male who wants to go into modeling but i had surgery on both hips and feel that is I was to keep the keloids that have formed there that it would criple my carrer can someone tell me what i should do about this

i am a brown teenager,and since i was only 6 years old, i already had a keloid in my left arm due to immunization...and now this keloid became big, i laso have 4 in my buttocks, two in my arms, two in my bakc and one in my leg...what am i going to do????????? please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am a young black female and i have had a keloid since i was 6 i got it from the chicken pops and i didnt let my mother peal the dead skin off so it growed and growed and i want to get it removed beacause its on my chest and i dont want people stareing at the keloid when i were open clothes or any v neck shirtsn i realy want to get it removed very badly please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well bleach it with leman,norish with vit e and wait for years to let them disappaer about 95%

im a fair skin indian girl and has been greatly affected by keloids after getting chicken pox over 5 yrs ago..some have been fairly treatment with injections while one large sized keloid remained on my chest,close to my neck after many types of treatment,this one keloid still remains and hurts me both physically n emotionally

im a mixed girl who pierced my ear and left it alone i got a small bump to the back and left it alone however this was wrong and should have treated it i then got it surgically removed however i now notice the front of my ear may look or potentionally get it to the front what can i do to prevent this apparently they werent sure of what to do with the front of the ear ....any suggestions i dont want it to ever come back... again no matter what what can i do

im an tanned indian girl.i have keloids on my shoulders both left an right,i do modeling an dancing and this is so of putting for me and ppl i work for, i always try to hide with tops that cover my back..i get depressed,because they are so horrid to look at and very painful,ive tried steriod injections,but they were to waayy to painful,i couldnt take it,is there ne help out there for this kind of thing..please tell me
