Being an esthetician is the 'in' thing today. With growing demands from beauty-conscious people, esthetics is here to stay. They command respect and become a part of their customers' life. Now, even doctors hire estheticians to help them with many non-invasive skin treatments the perform in their offices. But, being one is not so easy. In many states estheticians have to pass certain exams to clear and one have to register with the state to open a shop.
Steps to become an esthetician
a. To become an esthetician one can either chose to go to a public or a private school. Usually its recommended to go through a public school as their offerings are better and the cost of the certificate course is cheap.
b. A public school certificate course costs about $200.
c. A private school certificate course costs about $9000.
d. Experts recommend that an esthetician can never have to little of hands-on, the more the better. Its better to enroll as a trainees or fresher in a med-spa or apply for similar positions in a dermatologist office.
e Becoming an esthetician is a very competitive programme and involves getting trained well and also get into the customers mind to ensure they are in safe hands.
f. An esthetician performs a variety of jobs including, Skin lasers, Microdermabrasion, Chemical peels, massage, Thermage etc and with more and more new skin technologies coming out there is high demand for qualified estheticians.
